These sites are for folks interested in technology and the electric utility industry. If you are interested in some of the national issues (de-regulation) presently facing the utility industry and our entire country... the electric utility sites are worthwhile looking at. The arguments against de-regulation by the APPA and NRECA are pretty strong. Just remember Enron. All the sites have extensive links pages.

NIST ~ National Institute for Standards and Technology. A website loaded with information on state of the art technology. Highly recommended. |

NRECA ~ National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. A website whose focus is on Rural Electric Associations/Cooperatives and their members. |

APPA ~ The American Public Power Association website. Contains articles and links of concern to people whose electric utility is a municipal or PUD (Public Utility District). |

Edison Electric Institute (EEI) ~ An electric industry association of investor owned utilities. Most interesting papers are restricted. Not consumer friendly, but worth being aware of. |

Research Institute (EPRI) - A well credentialed
research organization owned by member electric
utilities. Some documentation is available to
non-members, but be prepared for a lot of "access forbidden" messages. |

Space Telescope Pictures - The Hubble has been fixed
and improved several times now. The results have been more spectacular than anyone ever expected! Be prepared to have your view of the universe changed dramatically. The colors and shapes of the different nebulae and supernovae are beyond what anyone ever imagined. The Eagle Nebulae Star Egg Pillars can be seen from this page. |
